In 2006, when Bonnie Addario started the Lung Cancer Foundation (BJALCF), her hope was to transform lung cancer into a disease that can be managed chronically. However, as soon as she started, she noticed that the cards were stacked against those with lung cancer, affecting their access to care all along their journey.
BJALCF recently launched an initiative to tackle data collection and sharing through a global patient registry project. This is described in more detail as part of a collection of global insights from advocates, A3: Advocacy: Access in Action.
